class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p class=\"p1\">In the municipalities where the <strong>pay as you throw rfid waste collection<\/strong> is implemented, the variable part of the PAYT is calculated on the unseparated part produced and consigned by the user \u2013 the RUR (Residual Urban Waste), i.e. \u201cthe waste remaining from the separated collection of urban and similar wastes\u201d, according to the definition of the Ministerial Decree of 20th April 2017 on the <strong>pay as you throw tariff system.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p><p class=\"p1\">The <strong>pay as you throw metering<\/strong> of the general waste \u201cconsigned is by direct weighing, with detection of the weight, or indirectly by detecting the volume of the wastes consigned by each user\u201d, as set out in Article 6 of the Italian Decree; indirect weighing (volumetric calculation) is the more widespread of the two metering methods, because it is much quicker and economical compared to direct weighing, which requires the fitting out \u2013 a lengthy and laborious process \u2013 of balances on board the collection truck.<strong> In the case of indirect weighing, the volume of wastes<\/strong> <strong>\u201cis determined by the dimensions of the container put out by the user or the capacity of the bag<\/strong> <strong>consigned\u201d<\/strong>; the RUR is measured by identifying and recording the number of times the tub or bin is emptied, or the number of consignments by the user, if a bag is used. <strong>The number of times the bin is emptied or the number of bags consigned is measured by means of an RFID transponder<\/strong> (tag) put on the bag or bin, which is read by a fixed antenna mounted on the collection vehicle or a wearable device worn by the operator.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-e78e304 elementor-widget elementor-widget-spacer\" data-id=\"e78e304\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"spacer.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-spacer\">\n\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p class=\"p1\">In the municipal authorities where door to door where separated collection is in force, the different types are removed directly at the user\u2019s domicile; the organic waste is collected in biodegradable bags, contained however in solid tubs, which are necessary for reasons linked to hygiene \u2013 sun and rain make the bag decompose and it is also prone to attacks from wild animals. Glass is also contained in tubs and bins, whilst the bag is recommended for plastic, which is made of the same material and can be thrown and recycled together with the contents as well as allowing greater compacting of the material inside it. Finally, paper is collected inside re-usable plastic containers or wheelie bins.\u00a0<\/p><p class=\"p1\">On the other hand, what is the type of container most recommended for collecting the RUR, the type on <strong>which the pay as you throw tariff <\/strong>is calculated? <strong>The general waste is collected<\/strong> <strong>inside plastic bags or solid containers, both fitted with <a href=\"https:\/\/partitalia.com\/en\/rfid-tags\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span class=\"s1\">RFID tags<\/span><\/a><\/strong> for recording the consignments by the users via the antenna installed on the vehicle or the wearable device on the operator. The bags and bins have a variable capacity \u2013 usually 30\/60\/120 litres for bags, 40\/80\/120 litres for bins \u2013 and are put out once or twice a week.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-11aec76 elementor-widget elementor-widget-spacer\" data-id=\"11aec76\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"spacer.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-spacer\">\n\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-spacer-inner\"><\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-c0869af elementor-widget elementor-widget-heading\" data-id=\"c0869af\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"heading.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<h4 class=\"elementor-heading-title elementor-size-default\">Some preliminary variables must be taken into consideration in the comparison:\n<\/h4>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-2bb2c90 elementor-widget elementor-widget-spacer\" data-id=\"2bb2c90\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"spacer.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-spacer\">\n\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-spacer-inner\"><\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-82bae83 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"82bae83\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<ul class=\"ul1\"><li class=\"li1\"><b>the different capacities of the bag and bin, which influence the frequency with which they are put out by the users and, consequently, the speed of collection <\/b>by the vehicles and the number of grabs by the operator. The 120 litre bins, for example, can be collected once a week, the 40 litre ones will be taken and emptied twice a week and so on;<\/li><li class=\"li1\"><p class=\"p1\"><b>the need to use different vehicles <\/b>based on the type of container chosen, like compactors for the content of a bin and tank vehicles for bags;<\/p><\/li><\/ul><ul class=\"ul1\"><li class=\"li1\"><p class=\"p1\"><b>the characteristics of the area: <\/b>population density, presence of detached properties or blocks of flats, another factor influencing the collection; For example, larger sized jointly owned tubs or wheelie bins will be adopted in a big city with a lot of grouped users, whilst smaller municipalities with single family homes will have smaller bins, and so on.<\/p><\/li><\/ul>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-abc94d6 elementor-widget elementor-widget-spacer\" data-id=\"abc94d6\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"spacer.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-spacer\">\n\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-spacer-inner\"><\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-4d927f9 elementor-widget elementor-widget-heading\" data-id=\"4d927f9\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"heading.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<h3 class=\"elementor-heading-title elementor-size-default\">The pros and cons of the bag and bin must be evaluated on the basis of several parameters:<\/h3>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-35727b1 elementor-widget elementor-widget-spacer\" data-id=\"35727b1\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"spacer.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-spacer\">\n\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-spacer-inner\"><\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-0b3e76f elementor-widget elementor-widget-heading\" data-id=\"0b3e76f\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"heading.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<h5 class=\"elementor-heading-title elementor-size-default\">Speed of collection <\/h5>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-9def4a4 elementor-widget elementor-widget-spacer\" data-id=\"9def4a4\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"spacer.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-spacer\">\n\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-spacer-inner\"><\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-faf5e1d elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"faf5e1d\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p class=\"p1\">When tossing the bag, the waste collector picks up from four to five bags at the same time and tosses them into the hopper together, an extremely quick operation. Emptying, on the other hand, is a single grab: <b>the waste collection operator takes one bin at a time and empties it contents into the hopper, a more careful, but slower, operation. <\/b>If, however, the process with the bag is quicker, the waste in a tub can be compacted more.\u00a0<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-746c1c9 elementor-widget elementor-widget-spacer\" data-id=\"746c1c9\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"spacer.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-spacer\">\n\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-spacer-inner\"><\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-364873a elementor-widget elementor-widget-heading\" data-id=\"364873a\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"heading.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<h5 class=\"elementor-heading-title elementor-size-default\">Costs<\/h5>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-58a6846 elementor-widget elementor-widget-spacer\" data-id=\"58a6846\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"spacer.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-spacer\">\n\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-spacer-inner\"><\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-850eac9 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"850eac9\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The bag is very low cost, usually 15 cents, but it must be thrown away on every use. In a municipality where the RUR is collected once a week, <\/span><b>52 bags are required a year, with an annual cost close to 8 euros.
